There is a good amount of spice and heat which I adore. I've just started adding a little pineapple to the curry to give it another boost! Highly recommend. Review: Great paste IF you do it right! - Some essential tips - You will need holy basil, good fish sauce and shrimp paste to make this curry. You also need a good coconut milk with no guar gum so it separates in the can and you can use the fatty part first. When cooking do NOT use vegetable oil as in instructions! Instead use pure coconut fat and the fatty part of the coconut milk to fry off the paste UNTIL IT SEPERATES. The importance of this can't be stressed enough and your curry won't look or taste right if you don't do this. You want the green oil to be visible on the surface before you add the watery part of the milk. It takes time, don't rush it! If you get these ingredients and the method right then this is pretty close to as good as making your own (although it's never quite as fresh or amazing ofc).
