He had a bit of trouble getting the bow to full draw when I had it at the full 20 pounds. I dialed it down a few turns, and he seems to have an easier time now. The quality of the bow itself is top notch.The only weak spot os the flipper arrow rest. It was just pushed into place, and not held on with a bolt or any type of fastener. It kept falling off and eventually, we ended up dropping it in the grass and losing it. I looked into buying a replacement and they were ridiculously priced. Somewhere in the $25 range. Didn't seem worth it, since it would probably end up falling off again. So I replaced with a whisker biscuit that I could bolt on. The size of the bow seems perfect for smaller kids, and I'm glad I went with the Genesis Mini vs the full sized Genesis. While the draw weight isn't much different, the small size and lighter weight of the mini seem to make it easier to handle. My son and his friends all seem to be able to handle the mini much easier than a full sized bow. Kids as young as 6, and as old as 10 have used it, and it worked well for all of them.
