Review: Fits well - Bought these for a diy project where I over cut the plug hole a little, they are a few mm thick and quite solid, easy to fix and just used the existing plug screws. Removed the plug, had to follow the instructions of sliding it over at an angle so I didn’t have to remove wires etc. went on quite easily and held in place with friction of the plug point behind it and covered up the marks leading a nice “shield” to stop finger prints on the wall when pressing the switches. Took about 5mins to fit and fits really well. Comes with a blue protective film that when taken off leaves a pure white finish. Review: Not the correct size for a dual single gang dry-wall insert - Great finish, quality surround, well packaged with a film protected surface, Exactly as described. I have limited clearance of about 15mm under my socket. And are the boards on all 4 sides the same measuremen?** A: The single socket external plate measurement is 10.5cm. The double is 16.7cm by 10.5cm. They are held in place by the socket but are free floating and don’t have screws holes. **Q: Can they be more to one side than the other, you dont have to be centred ?** A: Could but not sure why you wouldn't want them centered unless there is a wall next socket, only issue is how much you want it more to one side with wires and socket screw, I've got 2 types of these , these ones have pretty small edges compared to others so could be fine **Q: Does it fit with out unscrewing socket** A: You don't have to disconnect the mains wires if that is what you mean. ( But please turn off the power to the sockets before you start). **Q: Was it easy to cut and did it look good after. ?** A: Hi, there is no actual need to cut them. Switch the electric off, undo the sockets & feed the plates from one side. Admittedly a bit fidgety but the result is worth it. Then screw the socket back into place & mess around trying to get the back plate as you want it.
