The nut may be easily changed, but the saddle is not trivial, as the slot cut for the saddle is sloped to account for intonation. If you don't mind being 5 or more cents off and the action being wonky, no worries, string it backwards. If that's how you roll it also makes a decent canoe paddle, end table, baseball bat, personal flotation device & hydration vessel. Its good to have your dominant hand do the rhythm, the strumming and/or finger picking, more coordination required on that hand. **Q: What type strings?** A: Nylon strings **Q: Any recommendations on a good reasonably priced "hard case" for this?** A: Yamaha CG2-SC Soft Lightweight 1/2 Size Classical Guitar Case is not a hard case, but is an excellent, sturdy formed-foam case. **Q: What do accessories do you need and how would you add a strap to accoustical guitar?** A: You would definitely want to get a tuner. There are straps that are made for classical guitar, but these are specific to their instrument. They don't look like traditional straps that you've seen. If you want to use a traditional strap you would have to install a strap button on the bottom of the guitar, and use a string around the headstock. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Value *by on Reviewed in the United States September 20, 2026* Love it: beautiful to look at, sounds good to my beginner's ear, keeps in tune well, and reasonably priced (amazon buy box $127). The small size is perfect for someone who is only 5 feet tall. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ gitar *by on Reviewed in the United States October 3, 2026* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I’m very happy with this guitar! My son liked it so much from the first day. It is a very good instrument for children, especially for beginners who are just starting to learn music. The size is comfortable for a child, so it is easy for him to hold and play. It feels lightweight and convenient, which makes practice more enjoyable and less tiring. The shape is comfortable, and the guitar fits nicely in small hands. My son enjoys sitting with it, holding it, and trying different sounds. What I really love is that this guitar is making a big contribution to my child’s development. It helps him build interest in music, improve hand coordination, practice focus, and gain more confidence while learning something new. I think instruments like this are very useful for children because they support creativity and learning at the same time. The design is also beautiful, and the guitar looks very nice in person. The details are lovely, the finish looks clean, and it feels like a good quality product for the price. It looks neat, simple, and classic, which I really like.Overall, this was a great purchase. It is comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable to use. Most importantly, my son truly loves it, and that makes me very happy. I would definitely recommend it to other parents who want a nice beginner guitar for their child. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yamaha CGS-103A *by on Reviewed in the United States July 18, 2026* The sound is very good for a beginner like me, but the workmanship is not as good since the lacquer by the sound hole is not coated equally, the neck is wavy from top to the body and the neck joint is rough. Otherwise, this is a good beginner guitar. ## Frequently Bought Together - Yamaha Student Series CGS103AII Classical Guitar, Natural - D'Addario Celluloid Guitar Picks - Guitar Accessories - Guitar Picks for Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar - Natural Feel, Warm Tone - Assorted, Medium 0.70mm, 10-pack - On-Stage GBA4550 Acoustic Guitar Gig Bag,Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/2106582-cfs103aii-3-4-size](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/2106582-cfs103aii-3-4-size) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
