Keeping pressure off my toes seemed to be key to recovery but the shoe that my doctor gave me did not allow for that. After just 1 day of using the VIVE offloading shoe, I felt total comfort and relief. I was able to walk comfortably all day with the VIVE shoe and not feel pain afterwards. I did not feel unbalanced at all. I had a similar height shoe to wear on my other foot and I quickly learned to put the weight on my heel. The shoe helped to do this naturally. It did not take any extra effort.
