I thought this was the best of the first three volumes. The first issue was #10, the one skipped during Vol. 2. In it, Jameson hires Jessica to find spiderman. The story uses a unique dialogue style that YMMV on enjoying, but it was certainly different. Meanwhile the third arc features Jessica attempting to locate spiderwoman, with the best detective work the series has yet had. this was well worth the read. Review: Jonah... is a very complicated man - Collects issues 10, 16-21 Issue 10: J. Jonah Jameson offers Jessica a job. He wants her to - what else? - find out who Spider-Man is. She, um, I'll let you read it for yourself. You'll like it. Issues 16-21: There's a Spider-Woman in Jessica's bathroom. She stumbles around stoned and then flies off into the night. As Jessica tries to find her, she learns that this is Mattie Franklin, adopted daughter of J. Jonah Jameson. In trying to talk to Jameson, his paranoia about super-heroes makes him think Jessica kidnapped Mattie. And then the original Spider-Woman, Jessica Drew, gets involved... Also, Jessica's relationship with Scott Lang (Ant-Man) develops. As usual in this series, Bendis is a master at characterization. Although Jameson is kind of a loopy bugger with his hatred for super-heroes (particularly You Know Who), Bendis still makes you feel kinda sorry for the guy.
