The material to me was softer and seemed nicer than what my old torn cover. The only issue was the old cover had more material cut but overall the new piece fit. I did not have an issue getting staples in but I did have issues with the cover cracking as you had to staple close to the edges of the console. The instructions provided were very good and added one piece of information which could have been shared in the product advertisement for everyone to see before buying this product, which was that some frames are already cracked from use, and mine did have a crack but it was still holding together. However, my frame cracked more as I had to staple close to the outer edges, and when it cracks, it crumbles and does not hold the staples anymore. Possibly my plastic was brittle from old age. It still look ok because it was the two back corners and not the front which crumbled. Maybe it was my staples I used, which were not 8mm, not 6mm. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice kit !! *by G***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2015* This product was cut to the exact spec. Well above average instructions, the only slight disappointment was color for said vehicle ( 99 explorer-eddie bourer) med prairie tan didn't come close to a match. I even pulled my org. O-well it is a quality product at a very reasonable price, so it will survice for now I made copy of the vinyl before the install i'am happy. You I'm sure will be too. I have it on my things to do list (unscrewing the armrest, unscrewing and removing the old pad, stapling in this replacement...) and it is certainly doable, just was hoping for something that was bing bang, done.Update: Finally got around to doing this and it was pretty easy. Thanks for putting the youtube link up. Saw that and realized I could do it pretty quick. Good staples is a key though. Maybe you should include those. Thanks.
