Working nights and changing dates and days of the week in the middle of your work"day" can make it tricky to keep up with what day/date it is. Also, when you work nights and have to sleep during the day, the darker you can make your bedroom, the better you sleep. Even though the display is large and easy to read, this clock does not have a lighted display, which again makes it perfect. Also, it has dual alarms, and when an alarm goes off, the display lights up and flashes. I'm very pleased with this clock. It has all the features I want and need in a digital clock. The fact that it is battery operated, as well as thin and compact would also make it a good travel alarm clock.
