The story starts with the familiar plotline of an evil leader taking hostages, leaving you as the only one who can save them and the world from this tyranny. Once you get past the cut scenes showing your family's eggs being stolen, you are presented with a wonderful array of colors, scenery, and graphics that play with your senses. Normally, when a game is this graphically luscious, the actual gameplay suffers. Not so in this case. Year of the Dragon's 37 levels are packed with everything from running to skateboarding, as you chase around after the eggs and gem that you can lay your hands on for access to secret levels. The game's learning curve will suit old fans and newcomers alike. And, with other playable characters available, the story isn't just about ro and his flames.
