Review: The BEST rubber cement for bike tube patches - I've been cycling for 37 years and have tried EVERYTHING out there for bike tube repair. My standard is to repair 2x then toss the tube. The REMA cement is very efficient in "holding" the patch after drying and the sides won't curl up once dry. I leave the plastic on the patches as that is not an issue. The REMA cement is thick and doesn't run. The process I use with this cement is to clean up the tube and buff it with a 150 grit sand paper. Then once I've actually applied the cement and patch, I put it between my wood clamping vise on my workbench. This will assure that you're compressing the adhesive, patch, and tube 100%. I've tired other cements and make sure you go with the REMA brand. Finally, be aware that desertcart does NOT allow you to return adhesives. Happy patching!!

**Q: Can this be thinned if it begins to thicken?  And if so, with what?**
A: Rubber cement thins with acetone.

**Q: Is this an effective adhesive for bonding neoprene subject to intense direct sun?**
A: I'm afraid that I use this product strictly for repairing bicycle tubes. So, although I hale from the American southwest (hot) my application of the product does not include prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

**Q: Will it work with Hypalon. (Dingy material)l**
A: I do not know what that is, however this glue is made for rema patches and is supurior to other tire patch glue.

**Q: Does this require a hardener? is it the same as the plastic cement rema tip top makes?**
A: This doesn't require any hardener. The screwtop has a brush at the end of a short stem on the inside of the cap, like you might find on a bottle of rubber cement. Just brush the stuff onto the surface you want for gluing.
