I am no able to find any difference in terms of picture delay or picture quality between the monitor connected to the adapter and the monitor connected to the laptop. The main reason for purchasing this particular model is DDC/CI support. With this adapter I am able to control monitor's settings like brightness using a special piece of software. This feature is very handy especially in this time of the year when daylight is scarce and artificial light kicks in around midday. The only issue observed so far is that the monitor goes blank for a second when I connect a phone to a charger that sits nearby the laptop. The charger is connected to the mains, it is not connected to the monitor or the laptop. I am guessing the reason for this is bad EMI filtering in the monitor or the laptop. Setup was easy and the picture quality is noticably better on the monitor that uses this adapater vs the other monitor that is plugged in directly through HDMI. Only complaint is that for whatever reason, my wireless mouse lags really bad while this adapter is plugged in.
