Since I can't be there with her to teach her all the basics of sewing, this book has been a help to guide her through the process. It has excellent and beautiful color photos and directions that are easy to understand. Especially nice is that it is spiral bound and easy to lay flat while following directions. It has lots of fun projects and the patterns are even included in a special packet in the back of the book. This far exceeded my expectations and would happily order it for any new beginner to sewing.
