After freezing, some ice builds up in the lid channels and this can cause them to sit crooked, causing leakage. They freeze well and I love how easily they pop out with the silicone bottom. Having the lid is great but it's not fool proof with some leaking, which means a bit of a sticky mess when it comes to freezing juice cubes. It would probably seal better if the plastic was more flexible or was also silicone.
