Our cable can achieve charging and playing at the same time. If you charging on the typc-c port on computer, due to the reason that max output of USB port on computer is less than 5W and the current consumption varies with length, this cable cannot charge your device when you connect with computer. **Q: Why does it not work with new LG 4K usb c monitor?** A: This depends on what you are connecting and what video standards are supported by the USB C ports on either end. I suspect the issue here is Thunderbolt. You would need a USB C to USB C cable with a lightning symbol. This is a "superspeed" cable with SS symbol. These aren't quite as super as thunderbolt but more super than charging cables. 3m thunderbolt cables are super expensive. **Q: Does it work with 4k usb-c monitor? - mine doesn't unless plugged into usb hub and hub into monitor via hdmi i.e. doesn't work directly connected** A: Hi there USB C to USB C is unfortunately unnecessarily complicated - most cables won't display video at all and only connect at USB 2 speeds. This cable does connect as USB 3. I only have a UWQHD resolution monitor with USB C video input and this cable sends both audio and video with no issues. Seems to work with everything I've tried it with including Oculus Link. The issue here may be Thunderbolt 3 as I don't believe the cable is thunderbolt 3 compliant. My monitor is thunderbolt 3 but the connected devices aren't. In your case I suspect the monitor USB C port isn't compliant with anything other than thunderbolt, in which case you may require the 40Gpbs variants of the USB C to USB C cable. With a 10Gbps cable you'd be getting HDMI over USB C, hence you get a display when using USB C to HDMI adapter built into your hub. The device you are connecting will also need to be Thunderbolt compliant otherwise there would still be no display with the more expensive 40Gbps cables! **Q: Does it support video? I want to connect Surface laptop to external monitor and charge laptop at the same time.** A: Yes. It's a high bandwidth cable. ## Frequently Bought Together - Fasgear USB C to USB C 3.1 Gen 2 Cable 6ft 90-Degree Type C 100W Cord 4K@60Hz Video Output 5A Power Delivery Charging Wire Compatible for MacBook,iPad Pro,Pixelbook,Link,T5 LaCie SSD (Black) - USB C Cable 3ft, USB C 3.2 Gen 2X2 Cable, 4K Monitor Video Output, 20Gbps High Speed Data Transfer, 100W Fast Charging, for iPhone 16, MacBook Pro, Dell, LG, ARZOPA, KYY, for Portable Monitor - Anker USB C Hub, 5-in-1 USBC to HDMI Splitter with 4K Display, 1 x Powered USB-C 5Gbps & 2×Powered USB-A 3.0 5Gbps Data Ports for MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Dell and More --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/222931186-fasgear-5a-100w-type-c-right-angle-cable-6ft-usb](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/222931186-fasgear-5a-100w-type-c-right-angle-cable-6ft-usb) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
