Review: Perfect backup Dive Light on a budget - I've had this light for over 4 years and am overall satisfied. While it is definitely not as bright as advertised (maybe 600 lumens), I am happy with the quality and reliability. The light is also the most compact of the 8+ different 18650 lights my dive buddies, and I have. I like the simple button operation, which is intuitive to use (valuable in cases when I lend it out). The button is also protected by being recessed, which makes me much less worried about it accidentally turning on. I would recommend this and would buy it again if mine was lost. Mine has probably been on 25+ recreational limit dives and was temporarily lost underwater for 24 hours with no issues.

The light is solidly built with an aluminum housing. Double o-rings keep the water out. I took the advice of other reviewers and put some silicone grease on the o-rings. However, I did use it underwater for a while before doing this, and it stayed dry. I use this for snorkeling in the river, so I haven't taken it any deeper than about 20 feet. Very bright! It gets hot quickly when used out of the water on the brightest setting. Underwater, it stays cool. Battery is a standard 18650. The included charger is somewhat lightweight and flimsy, which doesn't inspire confidence in its long-term reliability or safety; but it works well so far. It has an indicator light to tell you when the battery is charged.
