I elected for a replacement and four days later a new one was delivered to me. Impressive customer service! The winch is definitely heavy duty. The ratchet mechanism is smooth and feels secure. The cable is neatly wound on the reel and pulls out smoothly. The crank is also rather robust and winds in the cable fairly quickly. Some winches will have you cranking all day just to get a few feet of cable reeled back in but not this one. The build looks good and gives the impression it will last a long time.
