Can I plug a couple of mics and guitar or not?** A: This unit has four 1/4 inch mono/stereo inputs and one 1/4 inch stereo output. It does NOT have phantom power. There is a pre-amp in the unit that will power a headset or connect to an external amplifier. If your mics have 1/4 inch plugs, your set-up should work OK without additional equipment. Seems to depend. *by J***T on 14 June 2021* I bought this once as a sub-mixer for Korg Volcas into my main mixer. (Interestingly enough, it seems that even the "mono" Korg Volcas like the Bass and Keys actually have a stereo output that outputs the same signal to both channels. As such, and given that the Volca Drum/Sample/fm are true stereo, it's worth using stereo for all of them.) The first time I bought this, it was definitely creating noise almost akin to radio interference. It wasn't a ground loop, as I'd isolated that, everything was plugged in to the same place, and I tested carefully. No other ground loops in my setup, and I was getting the noise even with no input signals and low volume. I sent it back. Later, having looked around for almost every alternative, I re-read the reviews and decided to give it another chance. This time, I've got exactly how I wanted it. No noise. No problems. It must depend on which unit you get -- maybe the quality control isn't the best? Either way, for the unit itself, it's exactly what you'd want in a highly compact mixer. Six switchable mono/stereo inputs wieh independent volume controls and a main volume control. Sturdy metal construction and a comfortable feel on the pots. It feels well made, and looks very unobtrusive. If you're worried about noise, I'd suggest giving it a try and seeing how you do. I had definite noise on one, but the second is perfect. I haven't found any other mixer that can do this job with this form factor for any price. If you've got a few Volcas and are thinking maybe to have one or two more, this is exactly the right piece of kit. If you have a similar desire to mix together a few input sources together to a stereo output and don't care about panning, EQ, or effects, this is a great piece of kit and , incidentally, good value for money. Five stars would be my rating for the unit I have. I gave four stars just because I definitely had a bad unit before, and the reviews imply that other people have had them as well.
