I am a simple guy and use ugly sticks for other types of fishing. I find them to be an amazing combo of value, durability, and quality. This combo continues that trend. The reel is good for the money. The rod has a soft tip with a good lower backbone. The construction has proven to be as durable as my other ugly sticks. For the price point, I don't think anything can beat it for ice fishing.
