## Description

The Shelly Dimmer 2 is the successor to the popular Shelly dimmer and allows you to dim many built-in incandescent and halogen lamps via the WLAN network via its own app (available for Android and iOS). As a supplement to the existing electrical installation, it allows the integration of ceiling lights into your own network (also via MQTT). Particularly practical is the compact design, which allows you to store directly in the switch box behind the light switch (size of the Shelly Dimmer 2 only 42 x 36 x 14 mm). Optionally, you can activate the cloud function so you can switch your devices outside of your home network. Alternatively, you can disable the cloud function and reliably switch only locally on the network without external servers. Based on times or the time of sunrise and sunset, you can define your own switching rules. The Shelly Dimmer 2 also measures power consumption. Thanks to the compatibility with desertcart Alexa or Google Home, you can control and dim your devices via voice control. The device is protected against overvoltage and overheating. These devices are supported: Incandescent and halogen bulbs 10-220 W. Dimmable LEDs 50-200VA/10W-200W. Ohmsche-inductive load transformer: 50 to 150 VA Compared to the old Shelly dimmer, the Shelly Dimmer 2 now has the possibility to connect the switch even with non-existing neutral conductors. The only advice I'd offer is to run the dimmer calibration routine in the app - my light fitting gets 100% at about 60% of the dimmer's supply, so calibration takes care of the discrepancy. The only downside I've found is that it takes a few minutes to reboot and reconnect to WiFi if any defaults are changed from the app. Can't recommend it enough though!

Tiny WiFi dimmer, sits happily behind the existing on/off light switch, allows the switch to continue to work to control the light, easy peasy connection to WiFi and configuration via the app, works great with Alexa. The only advice I'd offer is to run the dimmer calibration routine in the app - my light fitting gets 100% at about 60% of the dimmer's supply, so calibration takes care of the discrepancy. The only downside I've found is that it takes a few minutes to reboot and reconnect to WiFi if any defaults are changed from the app. Can't recommend it enough though!

I bought these to enable me to make all the lights smart in part of my home, I've got 4 of them all connected and are all reliable and operate of multiple switches. The ability to connect to home assistant is great too as I'll be able to set them to come on automatically with other smart devices. The dimming function is reliable and don't flicker like normal dimmer switches, they are very customisable in the app.
