The rail has 16 ring slots which make it easier to set up eye relief and find more desired placement of scopes or red dot sights on top of the revolver. No drilling is needed. The scope rail is clamped onto the vent rib of the non-ported barrel of 6" to 8" using the hex screws and two steel tabs. The steel tab goes through the openings underneath the vent rib and clamp down by tightening the hex screws. Top rail is compatible with weaver style rings and also will mount red dot sights with weaver style mount. Machined from extruded aluminum alloy. Mounting screws are included with the unit. I saw where a previous buyer said it would fit this gun, so I bought it based on his review. I wasn't sure as others said it may not. I can say that it fit my Raging Judge Magnum very well. I got one for my brother and for some reason his slots in his gun were narrower than mine and he had to ream one slot out a little to get the plate with the screw holes through the gun slots. Not sure why the guns varied so much, because we ordered them together as consecutive numbers. The slots in my gun were much longer. This was no fault of the rail though.
