## Questions & Answers

**Q: i want to use this for cutting out leather using very sharp round fixed blade knives any comments on if this is up to that usage?**
A: I have only used it for cutting thick card also and this was effective with my cutter.  I would not believe it would withstand a heavier blade however, such as required for leather work.

**Q: Is it resistant to heat? The Ansio model I've got (double sided blue / green) is not and is not flat anymore.**
A: No,  no self cutting mats are hear resistant to my knowledge unless the are glass or ceramic.

**Q: How many are you meant to receive ?**
A: One !! but when my order arrived there were 5 in the box. I suspected it was to do with the wording on the box.  They are not packaged individually but sent to Amazon with 5 mats in the same box.  I presume when they lift them off the shelf they take the whole box and send it to the customer instead of opening it and selecting just one mat which would then have to be carefully wrapped and packaged as if bent or folded would ruin the mat. I returned my extra 4 mats after a struggle to get them picked up but I suspect that maybe they are losing a lot of money with this packaging after all they are worth nearly £30 a mat.    I suspect I havent been the only one receiving 5.

**Q: Is it alive?**
A: Possibly...it always seems to move just as i go to cut something ;)

Product review: The mat is great! Its thick which means i don't need to worry about damaging my table and the measurements on the mat are extremely helpful. There have been occasions i have cut a bit too deep and made scratches but a few rubs and looks good as new. Its easy to clean with a simple wipe and doesnt slip. I love that it is large, which makes cutting my work much easier. Customer service review: The first order of the mat the corners were damaged and chipped. Along with some scratches on the mat. This was due to improper packaging for delivery as it was only wrapped in a clear plastic. Which provided very little protection to the item during delivery. When i contacted customer services about the issue, they were very helpful to resolve this and we were able to come to a resolution. Overall, i would recommend the mat as it is of very good quality. And the customer service was amazing and very helpful.
