Polyurethane close cell foam will float 60.2 lbs. per US Coast Guard regulations of Flotation. So by the their formula it should float about 480 lbs. of weight. So no you would need 6 2 gallon kits to float just the dock. That's not counting any weight of people that stand on the dock .... **Q: How much does this cover?** A: A two gallon kit (1 gallon resin + 1 gallon activator) will yield 8 cubic feet which is equal to 59.84 gallons. 1 cubic foot equals 7.48 gallons. **Q: Can the 2lb product be used to fill the void in my kayak made of high-density polyethylene or will it deform?** A: It should work just fine. Use a smaller amount at first and then mixed more as needed until the void was filled. I was not not sure how much it would expand so I started with a smaller amount . It expands and hardens quickly.
