Very easy to wash by hand(no dish washer) & set on end to dry. They are light enough to pick up & slide chopped meat or vegetables into a pan on the stove top. They DO make a lot of noise when a knife strikes them. They remain in place during use(no sliding around). Very easy to wash by hand(no dish washer) & set on end to dry. They are light enough to pick up & slide chopped meat or vegetables into a pan on the stove top. I notice no odor remaining from things like cut onions. I am pleased with my purchase & recommend these cutting boards to others.

Yes, they are a bit noisy and I have scratch marks on mine after just one use, but they don't wreck my knives and they're not plastic. I thought they were very expensive, which is why I knocked off one star. I put pot holders under mine to dull the noise, but I don't do a lot of quick chopping -- mostly gentle slicing. They clean up well and I like the well around it to catch juice. I imagine that's going to be nice for watermelons and cantaloups. I also like the non-slip feet.
