Review: Impressed with distance remotes work - I had a switch that malfunctioned on my houseboat for a freshwater pump for a washdown hose, I decided to install this remote relay instead of having to flip a switch on every time I could actually carry the remote, I am very impressed as far as the distance that the remote works . Review: It works. - We have a Jeep Cherokee which has a recall for the power liftgate fire hazard (even when the car is not running) due to corrosion on the electrical contacts. Jeep, as yet, has no remedy for this problem and simply did a CYA by recommending owners not park the car in their garage or near any buildings. Very practical... Pulling the fuse avoids the problem, but then you can't use the rear liftgate and have to load and unload the trunk from the passenger compartment by folding the rear seats. I connected this receiver to the fuse box and set the mode to only supply power to the liftgate circuit while the remote button is being held, so you can't possibly leave the circuit powered unintentionally or for an extended period of time. Works great and my Wife loves it (at least compared to parking the car a block away).

I had a switch that malfunctioned on my houseboat for a freshwater pump for a washdown hose, I decided to install this remote relay instead of having to flip a switch on every time I could actually carry the remote, I am very impressed as far as the distance that the remote works . I’m very simple hook up. Nice effective way to switch something, amp rating is very high.. quality of remotes seem very good!! I will buy again

This is by far the easiest way to hook a light bar or any external lighting to your vehicle. As you are not drilling into the cab. You're not looking for holes to run wires through you. Just plug and play and then use a remote This is actually my second one of these. I even had one hooking up an amp to a factory deck because I didn't have access to a remote turn on and the remote turn-on setup that I found did not work with what I needed to do and with having the battery in the back of the vehicle it made it 10 times easier to use a remote to control everything and keep everything contained to the trunk. No wiring going anywhere
