The strap is much stiffer than I expected. I thought it would be similar to a NATO but it is more like a sturdy waxed canvas in terms of flexibility. I wish it was a little more pliable but it’s still comfortable. Depending on the design of the watch, you may have some difficulty removing it easily. For the white birch, sliding the spring bar pin all the way will release one side of the spring bar but there is not enough room to pivot the other side out without severely bending it. I had to use a spring bar tool to poke the other side after releasing the pin side out with my finger. The white birch has drilled lugs which makes this easy but this can be an issue for a watch without lug holes.
