Review: This stuff has prompted my first desertcart review!!!! MAGICCC - Let me preface this by saying I have never once written a review about a product before even ones that I love after 10 years buying from desertcart. This stuff is making me write my very first review. I have thin, naturally wavy dirty blonde hair. I have colored my hair black every couple of months for the past 10ish years. I don't use heat very often anymore and I cut my hair every couple of months as well. The past few months, my hair has been feeling so dead and damaged. To a point where it was freaking out because even after a trim, the damage and breakage was so severe. I've tried every expensive high-end product. Olaplex didn't do a single thing for it. I've tried hair, masks and vitamins and supplements. After I would shower, my ends would dry quickly and be frizzy and corse. My hair has always been pretty soft and healthy. This stuff literally saved my hair. Im not kidding. If you're wondering if you should buy this, you absolutely should. Its like magic in a bottle. My curly/wavy texture is back. My ends are super soft, the flyaways are gone. My hair is back to sleek and soft. Im telling you, if you feel like you need to chop all of your hair off because it's just not coming back to life, buy this stuff. And for this price point? I feel like I went to a salon and had my hair professionally fixed. I wish I took before and after pictures. Seriously buy this stuff if you need to save your hair!!!!
Review: Miracle product – I wish I had this on hand before I went to the salon! - I recently went to a salon to have my hair colored. I had a conversation with the stylist ahead of time about my expectations and concerns, most notably that I was anxious about having my hair bleached before it was dyed cobalt blue. I had a bad experience with it in the past when another stylist overprocessed it. I have very curly, fine hair ("Irish curls"). This stylist reassured me that they use very good products (Matrix) and I wouldn't have to worry about overprocessing. Long story short, she overprocessed my hair. It was fine while dry, but the color was coming out of my hair very fast, and the texture was rough while wet. I was very upset to watch the cobalt blue I loved so much fade within two washes to an aqua color. It was still pretty but not what I wanted. I remembered after my hair was overprocessed the first time that I had used a product that fixed it called Ion 2-Minute Keratin Reconstructor. It was a miracle product that I chose to try while considering Aphogee. It seemed like an easier product to use, and it did the trick. This time around, I decided to go with Aphogee. There wasn't a particular reason for this choice other than I didn't want to go to the local store. I'm really glad I got this. It worked just as well as the Ion product. My hair felt better than it did before I went to the salon, so I think it needed the protein treatment for a while. I have two tips for those about to use this. First, the protein treatment (step one) is very runny, though not as thin as water. You'll have a much easier time by putting it into a spray bottle and spraying it into your hair until it's soaked all over. Then use a comb to distribute it through your hair so you don't accidentally miss any spots. I used a standard hair dryer to dry it. I didn't move my head at all, because your hair can't be moved much during the drying process. Don't touch your hair during this step other than to verify that all sections of your hair have fully dried. I have long hair, and I found that I wasn't drying the ends at all, so I had to focus on them. Once your hair is fully dry, get in the shower and rinse it under warm water. Follow-up immediately with step two: the conditioner. It's important that you leave it in your hair for the full time period (2 minutes) to restore your hair's moisture balance. I set a timer on my phone, but you could also use a kitchen timer or Alexa device. Voilà! Your hair will be restored! As noted on the bottle, there's no need to use this more often than once every 6 weeks, as additional treatments won't be effective and the product will simply rinse off your hair and down the drain. A: Yes, you should apply heat. Sit next to your oven with the door open if you have to. I used my blow dryer. Heat changes the structures of protein molecules. Use heat.

**Q: can you use this on keratin treated hair**
A: Yes

**Q: Is it safe to dye your hair just after using this?**
A: It's best to wait at least 2 weeks to dye hair once this product is used. Anytime you dye hair or lighten hair, it's a garantee to cause some damage to hair. So I look at it like using a protein tx preps hair to be able to recieve some damage from dyeing. Then be prepared to deep condition hair often after dyeing, then at 6 weeks post protein tx, be prepared to use this protein tx again to heal the damage done from the hair dye. Thereafter i like to alternate b/t protein treatments and deep conditioners (professional use brands).

**Q: I was going to lighten my hair with dark and lovely and I’m wondering do you use this product after dying your hair or before?**
A: Here’s direction from their website: To provide a better matrix to retain color and reduce color fade on porous hair by 30% after 10 shampoos, ApHogeeTreatment may be applied the week before applying hair color.

Alternatively, it may be used in color application, as follows: 
Wash hair with ApHogee Shampoo for Damaged Hair, rinse and towel blot dry. Follow general directions for applying ApHogee Two-Step protein Treatment. After rinsing, towel dry & apply depositing tint in usual way. Place a plastic cap over hair and check every 2-1⁄2 mins. A warm dryer may be used. When tinting is complete, shampoo thoroughly from hair. Apply ApHogee Balancing Moisturizer to help restore natural moisture balance to hair. Rinse and proceed with next service or style as usual

I’ve used this before but it’s been a while..but coming back to it I Honestly I saw instant results, my hair was damaged it was really stringy in some areas from bleaching and dying repeatedly..and then I used this and I saw my curls bounce back slightly after one use. I also followed up with a deep conditioning after doing the protein treatment & moisture treatment. I also noticed a lot less breakage, who knew that this is what my hair needed all along.☺️
