Years ago, I suffered from horrible plantar fasciitis and a heel spur, which started to go away when I gave up running shoes for bare feet. Never going back.The toe spacers I'd been using were crap... they were flimsy and didn't stay on your toes very well. I was looking for something of better quality and something I could wear either in the tub or while sleeping (or at least while settling down to sleep, I make sure to take them off before I nod off).These are a GODSEND! They are soft, like very firm Jell-o, but they hold their shape. If you're not used to having your toes spaced at all, they'll take some getting used to. I could see how maybe the little toe might be a problem at first, but if you build up your tolerance gradually, it's no big deal.It's amazing how much stress we carry in our feet and calves. These can help relieve tension at the end of a long day. I especially like wearing them in the tube. They are soft enough that you can flex your feet, ankles, calves... and stretch and contract all your toes (foot equivalent of jazz hands and then making a fist) while they stay comfortably in place.Easy to clean and very durable. They are a lovely blue sparkley gel, not the matte foam that I was expecting.Why would you spend three or four times as much on a better-known brand? My first pair lasted almost a year, which, for eight bucks, isn't bad. I've included a picture to provide an estimation of just how far these will "stretch" your toes.- The fit: These are a tad big, but they make them for one size fits all. They still work, and I'd rather have them too big than too small, or they wouldn't stretch out your toes.- The staying power: They are a rubbery material, so they stay on my feet until I carefully pull them off. The rubber will dry over time, so you don't want to be too rough with them, or they could rip.- The comfort: amazing. My feet feel better when I use these.- The aesthetics: They are a pretty light blue with glitter in them. Yes, glitter. No, I have not yet grown out of my glitter phase. (No, the glitter does not rub off, its inside the gel.)- Lastly, I recommend washing them in hot soapy water every week or so. I don't recommend rubbing alcohol, because again, they will dry out and crack.I know there are more expensive brands, but I can't imagine paying thirty bucks for two pieces of rubber... O_oAny hoo. These work perfectly, and I'm glad I found them again.
