Review: Great game, somewhat held back by last generation - I have this game on both my PC and now my new PS5. On my PC, I am able to get a locked 60fps with all settings at Ultra at 1440p. On the PS5, there is also a 60fps option although it tends to go below that during intense moments. I think this 60fps mode is great and all, but I think playing this game at 4K @ 30fps is nicer to me as I love the visuals of lush England and Norway. I think the 4K resolution does well at showing off the buildings, the views from the hills and also just looks far cleaner on a 4K TV. As for the game itself, it is brilliant. Once you get to England everything opens up and its up to you how you want to tackle missions. I somewhat agree that the old Odyssey/Origins formula is still present in the game, although enough has been done to change how you tackle the game. I think what tends to put people of these Ubisoft games is the length and the scale of the maps. I don't think these people will have a good time here, seeing as there is a lot of map to explore and it is ultimately up to you to take your time. Patience is virtue. Fortunately, I think this game has got me hooked enough so that I can sink my teeth into it properly and enjoy it for what it is. The PS5 version of this game is superior to the PC version in my opinion.
