You need the Starter Kit - Wireless Smart Thermostat in the following situations: Your home has a hot water tank with a hot water controller and you want to control your hot water via the tado° app. Your home has either a thermostat with a wireless connection to the boiler or none at all. Install the Wireless Smart Thermostat yourself with the detailed step-by-step in-app installation instructions or with the help of an installer. Geofencing: As soon as the last person has left the house or the first person is on their way home, the tado° app reminds you to adjust the temperature via a push message. Open Window Detection: If an open window has been detected, tado° sends a push message so that you can turn off the heating. Smart Schedules: tado° adjusts the room temperature to your daily routine, e.g. in the bathroom in the morning or in the living room in the evening. Multi-Room Control: Add further Smart (Radiator) Thermostats to control additional zones or rooms individually. Air Comfort: Get ins into the indoor air quality and indications if, for example, the air is too humid. Statistics and Reports: See the temperature and humidity profile and how much you have saved. Weather Adaptation: tado° takes the weather into account – for example, it heats less when the sun is shining. Care and Protect (part of Auto-Assist): Helps you prevent heating system breakdowns. Notifies you if it detects unusual behavior and helps you to solve possible issues by yourself. Auto-Assist: Geofencing and Open Window Detection can be automated with Auto-Assist (in-app purchase, £2.99/month or £24.99/year). Without Auto-Assist, tado° reminds you to adjust the temperature via push message. Additionally included: Care and Protect. Quick Actions: With just one click, you can heat up all rooms controlled with tado° simultaneously for a maximum of 30 minutes, turn down the heating or activate your Smart Schedules for all rooms.
