The ride is very good on the Monroe alternative which is a return to old school shocks, which you have to inflate manually to adjust for load. For everyday driving a pressure of about 25lbs gives the car a nice ride. So far I am very happy with the product. There is an airline kit you need to buy to make the air shocks work. This kit is made of plastic and at least on my kit I had trouble with it holding air. I added a brass extension to it and it’s working just fine now. I would encourage Monroe to offer the same kit with brass fittings, it would be worth a few extra bucks. The only other thing you will need to address is a warning sensor that will come on, telling you to fix your ride controller.
