Holding it up toward a light source, looking into it displays the characteristics of real Chinese porcelain being translucent. Unfortunately, the spout is somewhat small for the nostrils but it doesn't take away from its high quality. I will try to squeeze the nostril to the spout with my other hand to make it "leak proof." I recommend it and am thinking of buying an other one for backup. The price is not bad in comparison to the plastic ones selling even for higher prices. Edit: I did not succeed with squeezing my nostril preventing leakage. I found the solution. Buy here, on Amazon, NOSE PILLOW from an other brand. The "STANDARD" size fits very snugly and stays in place securely.
