I noticed the issue with the tongue seam at the bottom near the arch of the foot, but all it took was to preposition the tongue once and wear the boots for a while and any rub was eliminated. problem no more on the first time out. I have been wearing them for many years and have had all the different colors and the tall as well as ankle height. I don't know the exact details but these were originally made by Converse, and just as good. Out of all the pairs I have had, none have failed me! I wear them until the tread is bald. And I have a hard time letting go of my old worn out boots. I have an old pair in my car, truck and a few in the back of my closet for back up. I have tried many other good brands, but these fit my wide size12 foot the best. I wear them everyday 12+ hours a day.
