### ⭐⭐⭐ Mixed Feelings
*by A***R on December 7, 2016*

I bought this on Black Friday for $150.I had been wanting to try a module because I was getting tired of having to move my workstation to every gig. I decided to give this a try despite the lack of demonstrational videos on the "Accent" products.I must say that the sounds are EXTREMELY close to what you would expect out of a "General MIDI" sound bank. It was really disappointing. For me, the most important sounds in any keyboard are the Piano sound and the Electric Piano sound (Rhodes or equivalent) since I rarely use more than these for my Jazz gigs.I couldn't find any Demos of the Electric Piano sound and unfortunately it sounds extremely bad.On the other hand, I was pleased with the Layer and Split capabilities. The Reverb and Chorus effects it includes give these sounds some life.I like the 3 band EQ.It is extremely light and portable.I have found some use for this little module. If people are interested, I would be more than happy to do a demo video where I demonstrate this product (with comparison to others)"GENERAL MIDI" SOUND IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty Good For What It Is
*by R***Y on September 5, 2018*

When evaluating the sound of a digital piano, it's important to remember what it is. No electronic item is going to make one think he/she is actually playing Steinway grand. So, if you start by asking, "does this sound like a recorded acoustic piano being played back through my stereo speakers," you're more likely to not hate the digital piano. Using that approach, I'd say the acoustic piano sound on this is quite good. The DX-style electric piano is good, if you like that sound. The MKII has a good tone, but it's a bit too clean. If you could detune it, it would be much better. Sadly, the "chorus" does very little. The string sounds are nice, and the bass and synth sounds are very usable. The "clean guitar " sound is awful, and I've heard better clavs. I find myself using the acoustic piano sound almost exclusively. It records very nicely, as do the string pads. Considering the price point, I can't complain. While it may not be the best thing since sliced bread, it is far more affordable and portable than a Steinway.

### ⭐⭐ Piano voice sounds distorted
*by A***N on November 8, 2019*

Sound quality of the piano voice is mediocre. It sounds overtly distorted. For comparison, the Kurzweil Micropiano (similar price, but discontinued) sounds like an acoustic piano if you connect it to decent speakers, while this product (M-Audio Accent Module) sounds more like an old computer wavetable synthesizer, or maybe even worse. The synth and organ voices are okay, as long as you're not too picky. I didn't closely evaluate the others.Minor gripe: Power is weak. It is barely enough to produce adequate volume with headphones or powered computer speakers.
