Inner dimensions of the frame are 32" x 23". That's with a small overlap, but you can still see all if the parts of the poster and nothing is too close to the frame. The poster was mounted to a card stock then put into the frame so you don't have to pull it out to scratch the new places. **Q: how long will it take to ship to my home in WA? and is it possible to get it within two weeks?** A: It will take about 17-28 days to your home in WA. And we are very sorry that since it is for standard post, it can't get to your side within two weeks. Thanks! **Q: I received this as a gift. are there supposed to be instructions or a scratching tool enclosed? all i got in the tube was the map. thanks.** A: No scratching tools or instructions included. Dont use coin or anything metal which might take away too much. *learnt it too late :( * Be gentle. Use pencil eraser or in my case i used plastic spoon that came with an ince-cream haha. Mine shipped from the U.S. and took two days to arrive, and the quality of the map is excellent. I think there may be a cheap Chinese knock-off that some people get, not sure why. I *loved* the one that I got. The paper is thick and durable, with a smooth matte coating. The background is a dark grey and the colors are rich and vibrant. I didn't find it difficult to scratch off the foil, but I was being slow and careful about it. I had the map on a table and scraped the edges of the countries with my fingernail and used an eraser to remove the rest and it came out great, no scratch marks on the paper at all. My only (very small) gripes are that the countries in South America are all the same shade of red, and northern Eurasia is all teal. There is a small amount of color difference in other parts of the world, but it's minimal. My other complaint (again, super nit-picky) is that there's relief shading for a lot of it, but not for some countries. Colombia, Ecuador and Peru are home to the Andes, but there's no shading at all, while Chile and Argentina are shaded. Some people have complained that the map doesn't fit in a standard frame which isn't entirely true. It's made in the UK, so it fits European standard A1 frames but not typical American frames.
