Ac infinity a good company I'm sure they would rectify any defect filter but I would not be worried about it. **Q: Can Air be vented out of this filter?** A: Yes. You could push or pull air through it. **Q: I want to use this to remove cigar smoke in a room that is 350sq ft, will this be ok to use along with the filter?** A: This is a filter. It works great for all kinds of odors including cigar smoke. Go for it.
