It is completely blank unless you tap it to see your activity progress which shows up as little lights. **Q: isn't there a recall on the FitBit** A: The newest model is called The a Force and it has been recalled because the clasp contains a metal that creates a rash on the arm of the wearer. I have the Fex and the One which are older models which have not had any problems.
