## Description

From the manufacturer MONROE LOAD ADJUSTING SHOCK ABSORBERS Ideal for light trucks that that tow or carry varying loads, Monroe load adjusting shock absorbers include a heavy gauge calibrated spring that adjusts to road and weight conditions to provide extra control when operating conditions get more demanding. Hardworking vehicles that tow trailers or carry varying loads can count on Monroe load adjusting shocks to reduce sag when under load. Not just for ride comfort, shocks are necessary for the safe handling of your vehicle. By maintaining vertical loads placed up on the tires, shocks help ensure consistent tire-to-road contact. Shocks also help maintain a balanced ride by providing resistance to vehicle bounce, roll and sway as well as brake dive and acceleration squat. CAUSES & CONSEQUENCES OF SHOCK FAILURE Like many parts on your vehicle, shocks are subject to wear. Causes include damaged bushings, exposure to the elements, loss of oil viscosity and deteriorated components. Driving with worn shocks can result in problems ranging from reduced braking efficiency, tire wear, loss of stability and damage to other suspension parts. IMPORTANCE OF MAINTAINING RIDE HEIGHT Proper ride height is crucial to vehicle durability, performance and safety. When inspecting a vehicle, don’t just check the static ride height. The dynamic ride height –the ride height of a vehicle in motion –may tell a different story. The cause of dynamic ride height issues is often worn or damaged coil or air springs, depending on the vehicle suspension. Don’t just replace the shock –be sure to also inspect for and replace worn coil/air springs. IMPORTANCE OF ALIGNMENT Always perform an alignment whenever replacement shocks, struts or other ride control parts are installed. Camber, toe and caster settings can all be affected by installing new shocks. Failure to make sure the vehicle’s alignment is within factory specifications can lead to problems like premature tire wear. HOW TO CONDUCT A SHOCK INSPECTION Shocks may not show any visible signs of wear, make sure to request a ride control inspection every time your vehicle is brought in for service to ensure they’re in optimal operating condition. When inspecting a vehicle’s shocks: evaluates how the vehicle is used and perform ride and physical evaluations. Get an understanding of the vehicle’s repair history, the way the vehicle handles and its intended use for clues if the shocks might need changing. Next, take the vehicle for a test drive to determine whether the vehicle’s steering, stopping and stability are compromised. Wrap up the inspection with a physical examination for symptoms of wear which may indicate new shocks are required.

Review: Great - Great
Review: PERFECT!! - So far this has been a really great purchase! I came here after Detroit Axles shocks fell apart after only a week and me sounding like crunchy knee caps even going over the smallest bump. Wish Monroe had the front coils like this but I’ll be getting those elsewhere. I could feel the difference right after install they adjust to weight automatically and dont mess with the oem ride height. Just install and go. They are sturdy like the oem A/C Delcos heavy duty towing shocks. Im kinda sad I paid $127 for them to drop 40 bucks the next day but whatevs. Buy them! 2004 GMC Yukon SLT 5.3 V8 4x4

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do i adjust them?**
A: Thank you for the question. The Monroe Load-Adjusting shocks are not manually adjustable. The shocks help improve handling and provide a more stable ride. They are designed to help maintain stock ride height under loaded and unloaded conditions.

**Q: Le quedan a una Polaris rzr 900 trail 2022?**
A: Thank you for the question. Sorry, Monroe currently does not catalog this application.

**Q: are these good for hauling?**
A: Yes. Added these to my 2005 GMC Yukon 1500 and they took a lot of the squat out. We haul a 5000 pound camper with the Yukon and it barely squats when you hook it up.

**Q: will this fit a john deer gator ts**
A: Thank you for the question. Sorry, Monroe does not catalog this application.
