The Book was a bigger hit for him. I think perhaps the legos were to “young for him” just a personality thing. He’s a new member to our family and while some 12 year olds will find this great, I had a sense it was a bomb for his age group. His 8 year old step brother loved his mine craft legos purchased on desertcart for the dual birthday party so i have nothing to say bad about the product itself. He is really into Legos and also loves Minecraft a game on his Ninyendo gamer..I think all the sets can be used with each other so I am not sure what you mean by "How Big is it" The pieces are the same as all legos and when you buy a SET each set is a different size as it is put together in different ways. My grandchildren make up the sets as they are meant to be individually and then they use the pieces to make other confiurations or to build onto another set to make a larger structure. I think some sets are meant for younger children and others for different ages. The suggested ages on each set will give you an idea.
