All you do is press down on a metal bracket that holds the pin in place to release it and then pull up on the pin. The hitch is absolutely ingenious. Since the part that attaches to your bicycle is rubber, is has a lot of give. This is important when you lean your bike (like putting it on a kickstand or just dropping the bike when you get off of it) because the trailer will stay solidly on the ground but allow your bike to lean. And attaching/releasing the hitch only takes 30 seconds or so...if that. **Q: How far the trailer can lift up, go down, how sharply it can turn left and right if the bike does not have anything else installed on the rear wheel?** A: It can make very sharp turns. I am not sure what you mean by lift up and go down. I can tell you it goes over curbs and the rider cannot even feel it. It is not waterproof, but is pretty durable. I put my two terriers in it to take them and a cooler of beer to the parks farther away. They both love it, but I need a clear cover for them to see. So far they have not torn through the canvas floor. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A really nice cycling camping trailer *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on 28 April 2023* I actually already had a good trailer, the TOPEAK Journey, which is a single wheel trailer, but you have to use the supplied axle replacement to use it and if you ride a bike with a hub gear system, such as a Rohloff, that’s a bit of a problem with the drop outs. This was purchased to use with a fat tire E-bike, a RadRover 6 plus to be exact so rather than get a headache trying to solve the axle problem, I opted for this trailer instead, which simply hooks to the supplied hitch that you bolt onto the axle. Now I did still have to buy an axle nut adapter to ensure that the hitch would bolt on safely with enough thread, but that was a relatively simple solution via a visit to the online resource Robert Axle Project, who were able to supply me with the correct adapter to suit my specific bike. The trailer itself is well put together and seems fairly durable. I am going to line the bottom of the trailer for extra protection and there are one or two tiny places at the base of the trailer that suggests a possibility of water ingress, although others have reported that they haven’t experienced this issue. I really like the push button wheel release, which I’m informed the older version of this trailer didn’t have, rather favouring a traditional quick release skewer. This update is way better. I may also upgrade the tires, as I have a Brompton that shares the same wheel size and I have a couple of spare Marthon Plus. I already prefer it to the Topeak single wheel Journey, although that one performed really well on the more off-road type tracks, but the Burley performs just as well and feels more sturdy and solid, at least on paved routes and actually takes more cargo and has a greater recommended weight restriction at 100 pounds. I also like how you can segregate the interior into two compartments to better organise gear, and the mesh side pockets on the inside will come in handy. The cover seems robust, although I have read that it tends to start to fray quite easily, time and use will tell. It’s quite pricey compared to some similar trailers I’ve seen, but Burley is a brand with a solid reputation for quality and customer support and thus far the performance of the trailer bears that out. Er fährt auch super, man merkt den Gewicht kaum. Mit den 2 Rädern ist der Anhänger sehr stabil, auch beim Ein-/Ausladen. Es gibt genug Platz und alles ist vom Regen geschützt.
