## Description

GIRtech USL – is a special intermediate duty thin firebrick which are used for lining heating units with a maximum operating temperature of up to 2500 ° F, as an insulating or warming layer. Firebrick can be used in any type of domestic heating units, such as brick fireplaces, steel furnaces, heating stoves, barbecues and barbecue complexes, ceramics kilns and blacksmith forge. It can be used lining and insulation of furnaces. It is made from eco-friendly natural components and safe for human health This product is not intended for use in industrial units where contact between the refractory lining and molten metals is possible. Refractory masonry must be done on a fireclay/alumina mortar, for example GIRtech Ready Mix or GIRtech Dry Mix. Before performing work, it is necessary to moisten the contact surface with some water. It is not recommended to use cement mixes as a masonry mortar. GIRtech USL could be cuted or processed with a special tool if necessary Firebricks are packed in branded cardboard boxes of 6 pieces

A: No.  Great insulator.  But not great for floor from my experience.  I’d  get a pizza stone

A: The bricks are about 1 inch thick.
