I think it is 2 ml. We will have to make the holes. I thought it was water permeable but no, just painter's plastic that is black in color. **Q: Is this safe for vegetable gardens, i.e., non-toxic? (Someone asked before, but the only "answers" said they didn't know.)** A: Black plastic mulch was ok in my certified organic garden. I used it between rows. **Q: Can this be used for killing off grass?** A: Bozie, it depends on the type(s) of grass, Quackgrass would be very difficult to kill!! If you already have ornamental shrubbery or perennials, or other decorative landscaping and you wish to recover/recondition/reclaim the the garden bed and cannot not use "better living through chemicals, then you might be successful with the black plastic.
