You can use an external source. A usb hub or something similar. You can also use the Pi's usb port. Wiring the fan to a usb cable should be fairly easy. **Q: Does this fan run continuously or just above a certain CPU temperature ?** A: It runs continuously, but in all honesty, it's very quiet and not really noticeable...at least to me.
