I Can’t open padlock...what am I doing wrong?** A: Hi, I have the same one and it works fine. The key needs to be fully rotated and held in the open position for it to release, there is no spring action so you have to pull on the bolt. Locking is the reverse and you can not lock it just by pushing the bolt in, the key has to be in the open position, then push the bolt and lock with the key.
