I should note that I don't abuse my blades/machetes. Every blade is made for a purpose so I'm not one of those people who get a new machete and go out trying to cut down a oak tree and then complain when the blade chips, so for me this blade works great as an axe/machete cross tool for around the yard. It is agile enough to be used as a knife (have done some decent feathering with it), but it really wants to chop. It does this quite well, and even batons; though it's not thick enough for serious whacks on big logs. The handle is my big and really only gripe. The tang extends below and above the handle scales, and is not rounded, so the grip can really cut into your hand if you're not wearing gloves. I will see what I can do to round them down with a file.
