It works great for that purpose. If you're looking to do the same, be aware that even though this cable works, there can still be points of failure inside your PC, if the USB C chipset or the cable connecting it to the case are not up to the 480 Mbps requirement. Manufacturers love to cut corners on USB C components.See the attached image of this cable on my tester. I was surprised to see not all the pins are used. Their chips seem to be smart enough that it still transmits 480 Mbps even without all the pins. I am not able to test the PD capability of the cable.The build quality and materials seem good, though they make the cable a little bit stiff. You might, for example, have a hard time fitting this into a small carrying case for your Switch. Plugging it in is satisfying and seems to make a firm, solid connection that won't fall out.
