Note that NiMH batteries produce only 1.2v instead of the 1.5v you might be accustomed to seeing, but in most applications this won't matter and won't even be noticeable. If you see a difference in performance, you might need to use conventional Alkaline or carbon batteries in that device. These batteries have a 2500 mAh capacity, which translates to long life. Alkaline AA batteries, by comparison, range from as low as 1750 to 2800 mAh in the premium ones, so these batteries are in the top part of the range. They recharged nicely to 1.3v after their initial as-delivered charge of 1.3v, so they are performing as advertised.
