## Description

TYC 700247 Honda Fit Replacement Blower Assembly

Review: Honda blower and resistor assembly replacement - A few quick things. I have an 09 Honda Fit that the blower started only working on 4, high, a few days ago. Did some research and found the blower and resistor assembly would need replacing. Contacted my local dealership and was given a price quote of $457 for parts and labor + tax. Ouch! I figured there was no way replacing those two items should cost that much! Further research showed it to be a simple process and I could obtain both parts on desertcart for 1/5 the price, including overnighting with Prime. Received them today and the blower works great! As some others have stated, the blower does seem to have a higher whine than the original. I barely only noticed it while on high. I'm fine with that. Also, I bought this paired with the resistor assembly as that is what was actually damaged. I probably could have kept using the factory blower, but didn't want to take any chances. I found several places online that described how to take out both the blower and the resistor assembly. I had the blower out within 5 minutes. It's only three star bit screws, the power connector and done. As for the resistor assembly, that was more difficult. I found the easiest method for me to remove it was instead of going in upside-down from the floor, I pulled my glove compartment out (push in on a large rubber clip on each side and pull), so I could access both screws directly with an extension. However, I quickly found they would not budge easily! Once I finally had both of them about halfway out, I yanked them both with some pliers. Turns out, Honda had glued the front half of each screw into the holes. Let me say that again. HONDA GLUED THE SCREWS INTO THE HOLES! It took me over an hour to just remove those two screws. Anyone looking to do this themselves and experiences problems removing the screws holding your resistor assembly to the back compartment wall, that may be the reason. I had to apply some force inwards against the screws and nearly stripped them both. Best of luck to anyone else who does this themselves! It really was a simple job and would have taken me maybe 20 minutes if I hadn't of been delayed by those glued in screws.
Review: Perfect fit for my 2010 Honda Fit - Vehicle: 2010 Honda Fit. Based on reviews and online searches (Google search results including forums and Youtube), purchased this (TYC 700247 Honda Fit Replacement Blower Motor) along with Wells JA1788 HVAC Blower Motor Resistor and FRAM CF11182 Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter to address a blower motor only running on high (4) and not working on speeds 1-3. All 3 items were perfect fits. Replacement took less than an hour. They work beautifully. Needed a short Phillips head screw driver for the resistor replacement (2 screws) and a star driver for the blower motor replacement (3 screws). Removed glove compartment (2 Phillips head screws) to create more room to work and see parts and to replace cabin air filter (which was much dirtier than expected). A quick Youtube video shows how to remove the panel underneath the glove compartment and where everything is located.

### ⭐⭐⭐ simple part, easy replace
*by M***U on January 12, 2019*

After about 2 khr (50 kmi) of service, my blower resistor and motor worked only on speed four like everyone else (see also TSB 09-097). Noticable scratchy whirring around 1.9 khr. R&R is easy with glove box out, and resistor unplugged if you have 20in P2. Unplug from bottom if you can't reach through the glove box area. Or bent over and work from the bottom with stubby. Blower motor drops down after removing 3x T25s. Interestingly others have T20 screws. Back of motor is hinged or latches. OEM compatible motors are 30 to 40$ vs 300$ for Honda's. In car current clamp of TYC reads over 10A on the TYC, so I don't want to think about what the old Honda was to melt the old resistor.
