Though this one is not that much lighter, it is WAY easier to start. The battery lasts long enough to blow leaves over about half of our very large yard before needing to charge. But it only needs a little over 30 minutes to charge, so you hardly get to finish your break. Plus, we have 2 extra batteries from our string trimmer and chain saw, so plenty of power to last a lot longer than we will. This one is easy to carry, even for a short person, and the longer nozzle lets you get closer to the leaves on the ground without bending or stooping. Overall, we are very pleased with this blower. I would not recommend it for a true professional who needs ultra-high power all day. But for the average homeowner it is more than sufficient.
