I loved the first book so much I just had to go for #2. It doesn't disappoint. Book 2 in this series focus more on Radio Frequency or RF than on the GNURadio open source application. In this book you step through and learn the fundamentals of radio waves and analog communications (not digital). Just like the first book you follow the instructions and watch the magic, everything works like a charm. The additional data files and recordings from the support website are great and specifically suited to each task as you go through the exercises put forth in the book. I'm so happy the Authors pushed out this second book to follow on the heels of the masterpiece that was their first book in the series. For anyone wanting to get into radio, communications, Electrical Engineering etc.... I've not been able to find a better tutorial series for these topics and I've worked in communications and specifically radio communication for over 25 years. The hands on approach, takes you out of the sterile classroom and into the Lab. Experimentation, observation, analysis these books keep you interested and break things down with simple explanations and examples.
