We have tried quite a few others and it's been such a struggle as our dogs are 13 year old Chihuahuas and it's hard to get your fingers into their tiny mouths unless they allow it. Virbac might be more expensive but our dogs love it. Still a bit difficult to get our finger into their mouths but this stuff is thick and sticky and clings to their teeth so they spend 5 minutes after we apply it licking. After only a few days we can already see white appearing on their badly stained teeth. We were warned by the vet that their teeth needed looking after as neither would be able to have anaesthetic if their teeth became a problem as one is diabetic and the other has a bad heart. Virbac toothpast is excellent and we wish we had tried it before and not the tried numerous cheaper toothpastes which we ended up throwing away. Black Cat Medicines dispatched it straight away and it was delivered by desertcart the very next day. Great service and an excellent product. Review: Fast working - No more dog breath - I would give this 6 stars if I could. It fixed my dog’s bad breath incredibly fast — in just 3 days the difference was crazy. Give it a try. *by J***Y on 23 June 2026* My dog has hard tartar build up in her very back upper teeth and After 6 days of using this tooth paste and Brushing my dogs teeth once a day I can actually say that small parts of tartar is starting to chip away. And it’s starting to help with her bad breath as it continues to work after the application. My dogs seems to love to taste and she doesn’t mind it at all. It will take multiple applications daily to see more results but I’m glad I found this. It may seem expensive for the tub but it’s still cheaper than having to take her to the vet to get it cleaned.
